Money really does make the world go round and there’s no better proof than the one your reading about. For those of you who’ve seen the movie will know exactly what I’m talking about because it looks just like Kells. I’m a fan of Kells and hate to see him in this position because the man is so talented and a legend in his genre whether you like him or not. Props are due but it’s the things surrounding him such as the sex tape with an alleged thirteen year old that make me not want to be a fan anymore. I was always the first to say as long as what he does in his own time doesn’t effect me I can care less but that sex tape changes my opinion all together. I say that because I have nieces who are thirteen and younger and if I ever heard of him or anyone for that matter do something to them I would lose my mind and be in jail right now. Yet again money, which Mr. Kells has plenty of, was able to find really good lawyers to represent him and they’ve been doing what they are paid to and that’s keep him out of jail. 5 years to be exact and who knows how long the trial goes and by then does anyone even care anymore? Kells was originally charged back in 2002 but now they’ve set September 17^th 2007 as the trial date according to the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office. R. Kelly is facing 14 counts of child pornography stemming from the sex tape that allegedly features the R&B singer engaged in sexual acts with a young girl which his lawyers are denying it was him. Innocent until proven guilty and until the decision I’m riding with Kells on this one hoping it wasn’t him but if it is you already know what time it is. I’m not for prison and don’t wish that upon any man regardless if we’re enemies or not. I feel if he is guilty then they should lock him up in a room for the day with the child’s brothers, cousins, father and any other relatives once a month for six months letting them do what they want with him as long as they don’t kill him. Then they should make him go to therapy and pay restitution for damages mentally to the family of the child. It’s crazy though cause I haven’t hear from any relatives of the child alleged to be underage? Can anyone answer that question? I’m sure they have something to say…Innocent until proven guilty. Also what about Kells family and close friends? What do they have to say?
